HARD HEADS ON THE BAY!!!!

If you grew up on or near the Chesapeake Bay nothing sounded the summer "Fish Fry" season like the Atlantic Croaker or HARDHEADS as we call them...

One of my favorite Summer species to catch on the Chesapeake Bay. Croaker sometimes seem as if they were genetically engineered for the deep fryer! Marinate that @90degrees, between 2 pieces of bread, a lil' hot mustard and tall glass of the high life!

Man I sure do miss Summer days on the East Coast !

BTW...Only take what you can eat or feed to someone else..If I ever hear that Croakers are in trouble..I am going to be hot!!! Start rallies and sit-in!

So I got these new waders...

So you know I waited and waited this year to replace my waders..Swearing that I would not patch them..Couldn't complain since I had them for 3 years, worked them HARD, and they were pretty inexpensive but after a leg full of water while fishing the surf I decided to go get a new pair..So what do you get?? $700 $600 $500 $400 $300 0r the $99 specials? That's when a buddy of mine recommended a foreign company called Guideline. They were big in Europe!! Who cares! I just need to know that they are going to feel good, last me more than one trip out and I would look good in them! Well after a day out in a pair of the TechStretch I had to go home and see what else they sold! They are like wearing a pair of Girbaud Jeans out fishing! Simply BUTTER!! Fresh Dressed like a million bucks...I didn't catch no fish but damn I looked good getting skunked! Get Funky Fresh dressed to rip lips....Now Marinate!

When you are at work, images such as these can drive you to become so sick that you need to go get out of the office and go home. The odd thing is that once you get in the car, you realize your gear is in the trunk ( Its Always in the trunk!!) and you begin to feel better. With your day at work shot, everyone else is in the office, and the families not expecting you home until dinner..You mine as well go chuck a line!

A couple of things before you strategize your escape...

If you lose your job, wife leaves you, or you just get busted..I just made a suggestion...

• Never call your buddy becasue he'll be mad he can't escape and call your house instead of your cellphone 10 minutes before you walk in the door to ask your wife for the days fishing report...This is a covert missions and he was out the other day without you!!


• Do not bring the pics in to the job with you tommorrow and make them your "NEW DESKTOP BACKGROUND!" You get Darwinized if you are busted...


• Take your waders off before you begin your drive home. Nothing is worst than pulling up in the garage, taking 10 minutes to come in and your wife catching you ripping off your waders...

This is the driver's license that you need to show others how to fly fish properly. It's kind of a big deal in fly fishing. Two test. One written and one verbal. My man Ron Thomas is the only African American that I know of that has this cert. If you know of more. Please enlighten me! I think we need more of them, including myself!

Other than that, Ron works at the Orvis in Atlanta. He guides, does lessons and pays the bills! It would be in ATL that we would have a certified brother working at an ORVIS store..We'll have done something when we get one in Salt Lake City...Marinate on that!
