DQ Strikes Again....The Methow never looks so sweet!!

So I am sitting at the dinner table with my wife last night and I get a message on my blackberry from DQ. Yes DQ is at it again. The Methow River got a visit fro DQ and the infamous Ryan Smith. Needless to say, with the brown skinned Leprechaun in the boat the slaying commenced and didn't stop until the sun set on the day. What a ridiculous summer DQ...Marinate

Ryan Smith is one of the best guides in the Seattle area on the fly and a good friend. One of the finest in the Emerald Water Anglers group. We need to fish together more Ryan!

Reported 100 pounder! DQ is Killin me!

So I just got off the phone with DQ. You guys remember him I am sure. Seems DQ did some Tarpon fishing today in Tampa and joined the 100 pound club! DQ and I fish together in the North West but recent opportunity has had him in Florida a few times his year wetting his fly in the Southern Salt . I am jealous but happy for the man! He is certainly on a run so far this year. I'll post the pics as soon as I get them..Look out Moldy Chum SOM...The brother with the Silver King is on his way...Marinate that in a vacuum sealed jug til the flavor is in the bone!

So a couple of weeks ago my boy DQ tells me he is going to be in "The city of dem Birds". I instantly have visions of breakfast on the beach and wading Biscayne Bay with my rod in my hand. Oh the good ol' days! Anyway I knew he was going to do some slaying and of course he does. A typical day in South Florida.
