You decide...

If I were to tell you the following, what or how would you feel?

BNET, an online business magazine, posted this article a while back that debates this topic. They even went as far to call it "Racial Apartheid". I want to leave it up to you to decide. Let me know how you feel..

I guess I hadn't noticed that until it was pointed out, but now that it's mentioned, that is true. I think that's sad. I don't know why more models of all races aren't included.

I think it is a shame that more races aren't included in outdoors settings for advertising, I also know that ad imagery is usually chosen based on market research. When I'm fishing I see a pretty diverse group of people at the lake with me, when I'm hunting I mostly see a bunch of white faces in camo hats - does that mean that blacks or minorities don't hunt or participate in outdoor activities - no, but maybe we companies marketing outdoor apparel and gear just know who their market is. I wouldn't call it "racial apartheid" but I would say that it's an area that needs improvement.

Same as Kristine, I haven’t noticed and to be honest neither do I look for it. Race color and ethnicity are non-issues for me. In fact it makes me laugh at times how some try to appeal to all races and be PC, like a church poster I saw depicting a family consisting of a Chinese mother, a African father and a white child.

We’re all the same, we’re all human.

I've noticed it before - and not just blacks, but pretty much whites is all we see in outdoor ads. Hopefully we start seeing a shift in that as we wouldn't want anyone to be discouraged from getting involved in outdoor activities because their race isn't portrayed in anything they've ever seen.
